The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Assessment of Scheme for Engineering and Technology Education (ASSETE) arranged a visit for 38 secondary school students from 11 local schools to Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited (NAMI) yesterday (i.e. June 24). Prior the commencement of the visit, Professor Wong delivered encouraging remarks to students, encouraging them to seize this valuable opportunity to learn from NAMI’s work. Accompanied by Professor Wong, the students attended a presentation given by Dr. Tin Lau, NAMI’s Senior Technical Manager, who highlighted practical applications of nanotechnology across various sectors. Under the guidance of NAMI researchers, students were able to assembled pressure sensors hands-on. The workshop is followed by a guided-tour to NAMI’s electronics and battery laboratories.
